We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of incoming and outgoing packages and mail by conducting thorough inspections and adhering to established procedures. The ideal candidate is highly observant, reliable, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Examine and screen incoming and outgoing packages and mail for prohibited or dangerous items using established protocols.
• Operate screening equipment, such as X-ray machines and handheld detectors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Document findings and report any irregularities or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of all screened items.
• Assist in organizing and distributing mail and packages as needed.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality and handle sensitive materials with care.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies.
• Ability to operate screening equipment (training will be provided if needed).
• Good physical condition; capable of standing for extended periods and lifting packages up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to follow protocols and respond quickly to potential security threats.
• Prior experience in mailroom operations, security, or a related field is a plus.
