IFC's Disruptive Technologies, Services and Funds Department is seeking two interns as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC's work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world. 

 

Duties and Accountabilities:  

• Update project and report databases for the Real Estate, Retail, and Hospitality sectors. 
• Help with research on new Real Estate sub-sectors, e.g. Prop Tech, modular housing. 
• Contribute to Lessons Learnt for Real Estate by sub-sector by product. 
• Incorporate AI in the preparation of Lessons Learned documentation. 
• Perform research work on areas of the Hospitality Sector not currently covered by the unit, such as Destination Management Companies (DMC) and tour operators. Develop a fact sheet about these businesses. 

 

Selection Criteria

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master's degree level program
• Preferred field of study: Masters in Business Administration (MBA); Finance 
• Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience
• Previous experience in market and industry research and data organizing 
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
